Triplex cards are three layers of board bonded into one 810gsm card: thick enough to feel like an object, with a coloured core that runs around the edge like a seam. Choose a smooth uncoated or kraft face, one of eleven core colours, and the standard 85 × 55mm size or a 55 × 55mm square. A real person checks your artwork before anything is printed.

Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed and fonts outlined or embedded: 91 × 61mm for the standard card, 61 × 61mm for the square. Keep text and logos at least 3mm inside the trim line. Pick a core colour from your brand palette and keep the faces simple; the edge does a lot of the work. For double-sided cards, send a two-page PDF with the front on page one.

What is a triplex business card?

A card made from three layers of board bonded together. The two outer layers carry your print and the middle layer is coloured, so a stripe of colour shows on every edge.

How thick is 810gsm?

Very. A typical business card is 350 to 450gsm, so a triplex card is around twice as heavy and noticeably rigid in the hand.

Which core colours can I choose?

Black, blue, green, orange, pastel green, pink, purple, red, turquoise, white or yellow. Choose it when you order.

Uncoated or kraft: which face should I pick?

Uncoated is a smooth, bright white that prints colour cleanly. Kraft is brown and rustic; there is no white ink, so lighter colours take on the warmth of the card.

How long do they take?

Choose Saver (7 working days), Standard (5) or Express (3) when you order. That is production time and doesn't include delivery.
