Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed and fonts outlined or embedded. Textured stock is part of the design, so give it room: layouts with breathing space show the surface off far better than edge-to-edge solid colour, and very fine text or hairlines can break up over the texture. What makes a textured business card different?

The stock. Standard cards are printed on smooth coated board; these use papers with a visible, touchable surface, so the card communicates quality before anyone reads it.

Which texture should I choose?

Rives Shetland (250gsm) has a soft, felt-like surface with a refined, traditional feel. Textured Uncoated (300gsm) is thicker with a subtle speckled finish. If you can't decide, tell us what the card is for and we'll recommend one.

Will fine detail print well on textured stock?

Mostly, but very small text and hairline rules can look slightly broken over a textured surface. Keep text at 7pt or above and lines at 0.5pt or heavier.

What sizes are available?

The standard UK size of 85 × 55mm, or a 55 × 55mm square.

How long do they take?

Choose Saver (6 working days), Standard (4) or Express (2) when you order. That is production time and doesn't include delivery.
