A hardback gives a publication permanence. Ours are case bound: your printed cover is wrapped around rigid greyboard to form the hard case, and the inner pages are bound with strong PUR adhesive and joined to the case with white end papers. Choose A4 or A5 in portrait or landscape, or a 210mm square, with 40 to 192 inner pages and a gloss or matt laminated cover. Order from 50 copies. A real person checks your artwork before anything is printed.

Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. If we spot a problem, we'll contact you before anything gets printed.

Supply two files, both as CMYK PDF/X-1a at 300dpi with 3mm bleed and a 10mm safe zone. The cover is one spread, with front, spine and back together including the hinge and wrap-around, built on the cover template for your size from the Templates section on this page. The spine width depends on your page count and paper, so check it with us before you finalise the cover. The inner pages go as a separate PDF of single pages in running order, totalling a multiple of four. We add the blank end papers and fly sheets, so leave those out.

What is case binding?

What sizes and page counts can I order?

Which papers can I choose?
Inner pages can be 90gsm Premium Smooth White, or 130gsm, 150gsm, 170gsm or 200gsm art paper in silk or gloss. The cover is 170gsm or 200gsm silk, with gloss or matt lamination.
How do I set up my cover artwork?
As one spread, with front, spine and back in a single file including the hinge and wrap-around, built on the cover template. The spine width is the critical part, because it changes with page count and paper.
What are the end papers and fly sheets?
The blank white pages that join the pages to the case and sit just before and after your printed pages. We insert them for you in 170gsm uncoated white, so they are not part of your artwork.
How long do they take?
Choose Saver (8 working days), Standard (6) or Express (4) when you order. That is production time and doesn't include delivery.
Can Printlogik design my book?
Yes. If you don't have artwork, or yours needs tidying up, our studio can set up your file or create the design from scratch. Ask for a design quote and we'll price it before you commit.
