Archival pigment inks are sprayed in microscopic droplets onto fine art paper, which holds smooth tonal gradients and fine detail. Choose from seven papers by Hahnemühle, Canson, Ilford and Epson, in 44 sizes from 4 × 6in up to 60 × 180in, including A5 to A0. A real person checks your file before anything is printed.

Artwork made easy

Supply the highest-resolution file you have: 300dpi at the final print size is the benchmark for giclée. Scanned paintings and high-resolution photographs of artwork both work well when captured properly. If you are reproducing an original and are not sure your scan or photo is good enough, send it over and we'll tell you before it is printed.

Can I order more than one of the same print?

Each order line is a single print. For more copies of the same image, add it to your basket once for each copy, or ask us for a custom quote.

What is a giclée print?

A fine art reproduction made on a specialist inkjet printer with archival pigment inks on fine art paper. The name comes from the French for "spray", which describes how the ink is applied.

How is giclée different from a C-type photo print?

A C-type print is exposed onto light-sensitive photographic paper and chemically developed, and suits photographs. Giclée is pigment inkjet on fine art paper, and suits paintings, illustrations and limited editions where paper texture and colour fidelity matter most.

Which paper should I choose?

Hahnemühle Photo Rag is a smooth, matt, 100% cotton paper. German Etching is heavyweight and richly textured. Bamboo is warm-toned with a fine texture. Hahnemühle Pearl has a soft sheen. Canson Baryta gives deep blacks and a subtle gloss. Epson Semi Gloss has a photo-lab look. Ilford Cotton Textured is a matt, textured 100% cotton paper.

What sizes can I order?

44 sizes. Standard formats run from 4 × 6in to 60 × 75in, panoramic formats go up to 60 × 180in, and there are A5, A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0.

What resolution does my file need?

300dpi at your final print size. If your file is lower, we'll tell you what size it will print well at.

How long do they take?

Production takes 2 to 5 working days. That doesn't include delivery.
