A printed envelope tells the recipient who a letter is from before they open it, which makes invoices, mailshots and thank-you cards work a little harder. These are white self-seal envelopes in DL, C5 and C4, on 90gsm or 100gsm paper, with or without a window. Print in black only or full colour, on the face or on both sides. A real person checks your artwork before anything is printed.

Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed all round, a 3mm safe zone and fonts outlined or embedded, built on the template for your size. If you choose a windowed envelope, keep your design clear of the window; on a plain one, leave room on the face for the address to be printed or labelled.

What sizes do the envelopes come in?

Three. DL (220 × 110mm) takes an A4 sheet folded in three, C5 (229 × 162mm) takes A5 or A4 folded once, and C4 (324 × 229mm) takes unfolded A4 documents and brochures.

Can I print in full colour?

Yes. Choose black only or full colour, printed on the face or on both sides of the envelope.

Do the envelopes have a window?

That is your choice. Set Window to Yes or No when you order.

How do the envelopes seal?

They are self-seal, with a peel-and-stick closure. There is no licking or moistening, which is quicker when you are filling a batch by hand.

What is the minimum order?

500 envelopes. The largest quantity is 50,000.

How long do they take?

Choose Standard (5 working days) or Express (3) when you order. That is production time and doesn't include delivery.
