The carton that builds itself

A crash lock box has an interlocking base die-cut into the carton, so it snaps into shape in seconds with no glue or tape at your end. Boxes arrive flat, pre-glued and creased, printed in full colour on 380gsm SBS paperboard. Pick the width, depth and height you need, from 40mm wide up to a 200mm cube, and add gloss or matte lamination to the outside if you want it. A real person checks your artwork before anything is printed.

Box artwork is set up on a die-cut template. Download the template for your width from the Templates section on this page, then send two files: one with the template overlaid on your artwork so we can check positioning, and one with the template removed for proofing and print. Use CMYK only, with 5mm bleed on all sides, text at least 3mm from the trim lines and images at 300dpi, saved as PDF/X-1a without crop marks. Keep artwork off the glue sections so the box seals properly.

What is a crash lock box?

Do I need glue or tape to assemble them?

What board are the boxes made from?

Why do I need to supply two artwork files?

The file with the template overlaid lets us check that everything lines up with the folds, glue areas and trim. The clean file without the template is the one that is proofed and printed.
