Fixings that help your banner last

How a banner is fixed has a lot to do with how long it lasts. Wind puts constant strain on the eyelets, and a rigid fastening passes every gust straight into the material, while a flexible one absorbs it. This range covers bungee ball ties in packs of 10 or 20, 8mm bungee cord and white rope by the metre, and 30cm cable ties in packs of 25. For outdoor banners we recommend bungee over cable ties.

Which fixing is best for an outdoor banner?

Bungee ball ties or bungee cord. They stretch as the banner moves in the wind, which reduces the strain on the eyelets.

Are cable ties suitable for long-term outdoor use?

They are best kept to short-term or indoor use. Cable ties have no give, so in wind they pass the strain straight to the eyelets.

Measure the total distance needed to secure the banner, along the fixing edges and to your anchor points, and enter that figure in metres as the quantity. If you are unsure, tell us the banner size and where it is going and we'll advise.
