Block-Out PVC

Our top-of-the-range material for use on double-sided banners

Description

The banner material built to work both sides

Block-Out PVC is our premium 740gsm banner material with a light-stop lining through its core — so when you print both sides, neither shows through the other, even with light behind it. That makes it the material for double-sided jobs like lamp post banners, and a heavyweight choice for single-sided work that needs to feel substantial. Printed in full colour with fade-proof UV-based inks, M1/B1 fire-rated, standard finishing included — and like everything we print, a real person checks your artwork first. Every order also helps restore forests through our Print A Tree project.

Frequently asked questions

What is Block-Out PVC?
Block-Out PVC is a premium 740gsm banner material with a light-stop lining running through its core. The lining prevents any show-through between the two faces, which is what makes it suitable for genuine double-sided printing.
Can Block-Out PVC be printed on both sides?
Yes — that's exactly what it's made for. The internal light-stop layer means the design on one side never ghosts through to the other, even with sunlight or lighting directly behind the banner.
When should I choose Block-Out over standard PVC?
Choose Block-Out whenever both sides will be seen — lamp post banners, walkway and café banners viewed from either direction — or when strong light behind a single-sided banner would cause show-through. For a single-sided banner mounted flat against a wall or hoarding, a standard PVC banner usually does the job.
Is Block-Out PVC fire-rated?
Yes — the material is M1/B1 fire-rated, complying with UK and European fire safety standards, which councils, venues and event organisers commonly require.
Will the print fade outdoors?
The banner is printed with fade-proof UV-based inks designed for long-term outdoor display, so the colour holds up rather than washing out in sunlight.
What artwork do I need?
A print-ready PDF in CMYK with fonts outlined or embedded — one file per side for double-sided banners. Every order gets a free artwork check by a real person, so if anything needs attention we'll tell you before printing.
