Our commitment
Printlogik Ltd holds customer artwork, order records and contact details. Protecting that information matters to our customers and to our ability to keep trading, so we take a practical, proportionate approach to security appropriate to a business of our size.
This page explains what we do. It is deliberately specific rather than reassuring.
What we protect
- Your artwork and print files, which may contain your unpublished designs, your customers' data, or commercially sensitive material
- Your order and account records, including contact and delivery details
- Our correspondence with you
We do not hold your card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card data is entered directly with them.
How we protect it
Access control. Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job. Accounts are individual, not shared, and multi-factor authentication is enabled across the systems we use, including email, our website administration and cloud storage. This is the single most effective control against the account-takeover attacks that affect businesses of our size.
Our website platform. The site is hosted and maintained by VB Media, who are responsible for platform-level security, patching and infrastructure. Traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS, and the site enforces HTTPS.
Devices. Company devices are encrypted at rest, kept up to date with security patches, and run current anti-malware protection. Encryption means that a lost or stolen laptop does not become a data breach.
Backups. Customer artwork and business records are backed up so that we can recover them following accidental deletion, hardware failure or file corruption.
Suppliers. Where a supplier processes personal data on our behalf, we put a written contract in place requiring them to protect it, and we do not use a supplier we have reason to believe is inadequate.
Email and phishing. Most attacks on businesses our size arrive by email. We treat unexpected payment requests, changes of bank details and urgent file-sharing links as suspicious by default, and verify them by a separate channel before acting.
We do not currently hold Cyber Essentials certification. We have chosen to describe the controls we actually operate rather than claim a certification we have not obtained.
Reporting a problem
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability affecting our site, or you have received something suspicious that appears to come from us, tell us at support@printlogik.co.uk.
We will acknowledge your report within 2 working days. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine vulnerability to us in good faith and gives us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it.
Please note: we will never email you asking for your password, and we will never ask you to change the bank details you pay us on by email alone. If you receive such a request, call us on 01332 890222 before acting on it.
If something goes wrong
If we suffer a security incident affecting personal data, we will:
- Contain it and assess what has been affected
- Report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours where the law requires
- Tell affected customers directly where there is a likely risk to their rights
- Review what happened and change what needs changing
Our Privacy Policy explains your rights in relation to your personal data.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner following a significant incident or a material change to our systems.
